Düsseldorf, Germany, 13 February 2025Sensormatic Solutions, the leading global retail solutions portfolio of Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), will be at the EuroCIS 2025 to showcase its most recent innovations—like its SPX Sustainable Label, Shrink Analyzer expansion, and strategic technology agreement that will bring together its market-leading loss prevention solutions and INEO’s immersive digital display technology.

Sustainable Label

Sustainable Acousto-Magnetic (AM) label was designed to protect merchandise and the planet. With the new patent-pending label, the organisation replaced previous polystyrene with renewable, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC™)-certified material, ultimately helping retailers with their sustainability objectives while safeguarding against shrink and a positive impact on the environment:

  • Designed to reduce environmental impact. The label is created using FSC-certified material, fabricated using eco-friendly manufacturing processes and shipped in recyclable packaging. With a design that is over 90% plastic-free and made from renewable materials, this sustainable SPX AM Label can help reduce environmental impact.
  • Adopt sustainable practices with fewer barriers to entry. Sensormatic Solutions SPX AM Labels are making it easier for retailers to answer the call to pursue responsible practices. That’s because material innovations integrated within the label help reduce waste during Sensormatic Solutions manufacturing processes. Additionally, the FSC’s sustainable forestry standards translate into tangible actions that make a positive impact on the world’s forests.
  • Protect high-risk items without impacting customer experiences. The label’s versatile design fits various packaging form factors, so retailers can effectively protect difficult-to-tag items, without the friction that comes with locks or cases. The SPX AM Labels offer the same high-quality performance retailers expect from Sensormatic Solutions and are compatible with the brand’s existing AM ecosystem of solutions, and are precision-tuned for reliable detection and deactivation.

Cloud-Based Shrink Analyzer Application

The newly enhanced, cloud-based Shrink Analyzer application can now integrate radio-frequency identification (RFID) and electronic product code (EPC) data from targeted — and previously unmonitored — store areas to improve visibility and predictions of loss events.

Shrink Analyzer’s new capabilities can provide enhanced shrink insight beyond the store exit:

  • Receiving: Accurately identifying inventory distortion at the entry point for the store and potential losses due to vendor fraud accelerates recourse for shipping discrepancies. This can help retailers reduce administrative errors and receive floor-ready merchandise faster.
  • Employee Entrance: Strategically placed RFID systems at employee exits can reduce internal theft while improving investigation efforts with item-level evidence packages. Retailers may identify theft events using staff badges to connect “sweethearting” incidents or ORC-style bulk-theft activities.
  • Online Pick-Up Door: Integrations with other connected systems allow retailers to cross-reference patterns with internal and external factors to identify losses. Additionally, retailers can improve in-store ecommerce fulfillment accuracy, identify employee theft events, and empower LP investigators to quickly pinpoint non-sale events to assess the dollar value of the stolen merchandise — down to the EPC.
  • Defined Zones: Shrink Analyzer can be applied to high-theft areas in stores that need uniquely focused strategies. It can help validate receipts at self-checkout and address tampered merchandise in fitting rooms and other high-risk areas that need better protection.

INEO

This latest strategic technology agreement that will bring together its market-leading loss prevention solutions and INEO’s immersive digital display technology. Sensormatic Solutions will begin integrating INEO’s digital display technology into its storefront EAS and RFID-based exit systems to help retailers enhance moments of connection with consumers while helping to reduce shrink and combat organized retail crime.

  • INEO’s patented technology enable a store-as-a-media-business model where Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands can motivate shopper engagement at key touchpoints in the customer journey. The company’s signal-shielding technology helps ensure that EAS tags don’t interfere with display performance or vice-versa, so stores get the best of both worlds. Sensormatic Solutions systems leveraging this technology will deliver enhanced:
  • Shrink visibility. Never-before-seen item-level analytics and insights will help retailers respond effectively to loss events, reduce out-of-stocks, combat organized retail crime (ORC) and enhance store operations.
  • Retail media network functionality. Customer preferences change quickly, and numerous factors can impact the efficacy of ads and displays. Real-time syncing of content updates helps ensure every message resonates with shoppers, can be adjusted to speak to incoming and outgoing shoppers and aligns with the store’s goals.
  • EAS with video monitoring. Embedded cameras help loss prevention teams when theft events occur, using the connected system to pull video from the incident to enhance evidence packages, protect merchandise and reduce shrink in a wide variety of retail environments.

Solink

Sensormatic Solutions will also be showcasing Solink's cloud video security and analytics platform that combines video, AI, and data to provide real-time notifications of suspicious activity, streamline investigations, and improve relationships with law enforcement — empowering retailers to identify and mitigate risks faster and with less manual work.
